Politicians and Pharisees: Will the US survive the coming “famine”?

Politicians in Washington are scrambling to find ways to keep the federal ship from sinking as a result of years of accumulated debt and corruption. How do we save the ship? The Biblical account of Joseph and the Egyptian economical crisis is particularly instructive.
Mankind never changes, and the cycle of gluttony – famine – gluttony has continued unabated since Joseph assumed control in Egypt. In the past decades the United States has moved from the excess of the 1920′s to the Great Depression of the 1930′s, and from the soaring economy with all its advancements in economy and technology of the late 1980′s and 1990′s, to this place of approaching famine we find ourselves in today.
