The Bible is true.

“[Caiaphas] prophesied that Jesus would die for the nation, and not for that nation only, but also that He would gather together in one the children of God who were scattered abroad.” – John 11:51-52

The Bible speaks to time past, time present, and time future. Caiaphas prophesied of Jesus’ imminent death and the reassembling of the Jewish nation. His words also add to the myriad of scripture about end time matters.

Welcome to the End Time.

Amazing Grays Ministry began in 2009 with two gray quarter horses and a soon-to-be-retired horse trainer – me. I will testify to you that not only does God have a sense of humor, but He wastes nothing. Furthermore, I am here to declare that trying to avoid a task He assigns is a losing proposition.

On the morning of March 11, 2011 God asked me to share this threefold message:

1. The King is Coming.
2. This is the End Time.
3. We must choose today between God and Not God. (Don’t jump to any conclusions yet.)

Most of you know that my books have been about worthy leadership and right relationship with God, horses, and one another. This project was a horse of a far different color than I was used to working with.

I tried to not write it. Several other manuscripts were started, filed, brought out again, and then finally stashed until this one was complete. God is a most worthy leader and He means what He says.

“Because I told you to.”

The best way I know to communicate is by analogy or parable. Sometimes it’s annoying, but it’s effective if I come up with the right one. Think about a mom who tells her teen-age kid to clean his room. That’s it, no deadline and no threat, just, “Go clean your room.”

The next afternoon the son asks Mom if he can go to the movies with a friend. Mom asks, “Is your room clean?” The son replies, “No.” And Mom says no to the movie outing.

The following morning the son asks Mom if he can play soccer with the neighbor kids. Mom asks, “Is your room clean?” The son replies, “No.” Mom says no to soccer.

Eventually the kid will ask what has to happen in order to resume his life? Mom replies, “Is your room clean?”

In a nutshell that exchange pretty much describes my conversations with the Lord. Every time I asked for direction or guidance I was told, “Did you finish what I asked you to do?” Being less than a quick study it took me awhile to eventually realize the answer wasn’t going to change. Finally I got it. Nothing else was going to move forward until I finished the task assigned to me in March 2011.

God will make a way

I applied myself and went back to work on Rapture and Revelation. I didn’t want to write the book because I thought it was outside my areas of expertise. What business did I have writing a book about the End Time when many educated and dedicated preachers try to avoid the subject? What could I offer and who would care?

Just in case you missed that, I didn’t want to write the book because I was afraid I wouldn’t do a good job. But I was not the point. The instruction was to write the book, not to worry about receiving accolades or avoiding pot shots.

The editing process – It’s darkest just before the dawn

As winter turned to spring I hit the wall. I sent the manuscript to my wonderful editor, Barbara Schoeneberger. I prayed for her to be led by the Holy Spirit at the same time she was doing the same! It is a testimony to her obedience and dedication (and the Spirit was working…) that that first major edit was completed.

After a total reorganization and rewrite Barb edited the manuscript once more. As we neared the end of the process I learned that the message was simple, direct, and supported every other truth about worthy leadership and right relationship.

Most of the concepts of Rapture and Revelation are as familiar to me as working with a new horse. God always makes a way to accomplish His purpose.

Relief and understanding came by way of obedience.

Most Christians will say they choose God without missing a beat. Sadly, many would be wrong.  God is sending many out to share the truth about this moment in human history with His people. Rapture and Revelation is part of that message.

“Marriage is almost as old as dirt, and it was defined in the garden between Adam and Eve. One man, one woman for life till death do you part. So I would never attempt to try to redefine marriage. And I don’t think anyone else should either,” Cameron said. “So do I support the idea of gay marriage? No, I don’t.”

The backlash began almost before Mr. Cameron finished the interview.

“In this interview, Kirk Cameron sounds even more dated than his 1980s TV character,” Herndon Graddick, senior director of programs at GLAAD [Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation], wrote “Cameron is out of step with a growing majority of Americans, particularly people of faith who believe that their gay and lesbian brothers and sisters should be loved and accepted based on their character and not condemned because of their sexual orientation.”

Alan Thicke, the actor who played Cameron’s father in Growing Pains, chimed in on Twitter with this quip:  “I’m getting him some new books. The Old Testament simply can’t be expected to explain everything.”

There are two obvious problems with both Alan Thicke’s response and that from GLAAD.

Faith is not a democracy. The growing majority in America of “people of faith” that supports gay marriage has no impact on truth. They can scream, debate, threaten, and coerce – but no matter their number or the volume of their outcry they cannot change what is true one iota. Their humanistic doctrine might influence what others believe but won’t make those beliefs any less false.

Before moving on to the second problem let’s look at the simple error of this majority faith position.

“People of Faith” and the lies of humanism, social consciousness, fairness, and empathy

In order for faith to be beneficial you must have faith in something or someone worthy of said faith. Where does GLAAD and the “growing majority” place their faith? In what or in whom? In humanism? In social conscious? In fairness? In empathy? There is no foundational definition in any of these and certainly no identity.

Faith in who? In what? Alan Thicke may remember the Old Testament experience of Noah. The majority of the world chose a different path than he and his family. They stayed on that errant path until they drowned in a very large company. That large company would probably be included in the “growing majority” today. Numbers do not dictate truth.

This growing faith community is like the Occupy Movement. Ask any 10 people about their faith or the Movement and you’ll get an entire range of responses. There is no central faith and no foundational movement. The unifying doctrine appears to be that “What I want dictates what I believe.”

“My truth is my truth and your truth is your truth.” Really? In other words there is no real truth which means there is no real who or what that is the object of faith.

There will be no room on the next “Ark” for these people of faith because they don’t have faith in anything real.

The second error deals with Homosexuality and the New Testament.

Spreading the lie that Jesus never said anything against homosexuality.

Mr. Thicke’s tweet implied that the Old Testament admonitions against homosexual behavior have been replaced by the love and grace of the New Testament. How many times has this ridiculous statement been made?

“Jesus never said anything against homosexuality.”

The only people who would even consider the absence of red-letter type addressing gay marriage are those who don’t believe the red-letter type anyway. Jesus never said not to abort babies. Of course, this growing majority of “people of faith” usually think abortion is perfectly acceptable behavior as well. But none of this is really relevant to the problem of Mr. Thicke’s comment.

Christians who do not confess Jesus Christ as Lord are not really Christians. Christians who do not believe in a trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are not Christians.  Christians who separate the persons of the Trinity are not Christians, but christians. There is as much difference between being Christian and a christian as there is between God and a god. One is a truth and reality the other is symbolic of something open to interpretation by each person. No god subject to definition by man has any power.

Christians have left Jesus Behind

God is Jesus. Jesus is the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is God. This is the trinity presented in both testaments of the Bible.

If God declares anything sinful then Jesus declared it sinful. God clearly states the sin of homosexual behavior. “Christians” who divide God and Jesus are followers of a faith that has nothing to do with the God of the Bible or the Savior who died on Calvary.

Jesus will judge homosexual behavior based on the fundamentals of relationship He established and shared with us in the book of Genesis.

Kirk Cameron has faith in Someone real. Those who disagree with his position on marriage have faith in something or someone else. Faith in a generic concept is not faith but delusion. Kirk Cameron starred in the movie Left Behind, which initiated conversation and concern about the concepts of Rapture and Tribulation . This growing majority in America of people of faith who support gay marriage will be left behind.

God’s edict regarding marriage is not out-of-step with anyone who ultimately matters. The question is, are you out-of-step with Jesus Christ? Are you more concerned about being left behind by those with faith in an unidentified something, or left behind by Christ? If you don’t know what I’m talking about, watch Cameron’s movie.

To seek yet not find

When prayers go unanswered

“So why is it that when most people pray to God they don’t get any answers? Lots of reasons … they won’t acknowledge the One True God Who reveals Himself to them in the Bible, they won’t acknowledge the Bible as being the sole word of God to them, they won’t acknowledge sin in their lives, they won’t acknowledge their need for a Savior, they won’t acknowledge their need for Christ’s Lordship over their lives.”

Jesus promised you a mansion in John 14: 2 and follows in verse 3 with this promise of Rapture:

Jesus said, “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.”

Jesus will receive us but He will not rope and drag us. The link that is ours alone is the willingness to step out in faith. Anyone who knows me is painfully aware that I come up with an analogy or illustration about every 72 seconds.  Here’s the latest.

Who do you trust to pull the Ripcord on your Rapture parachute?

The Word of God tells us that we all have a moment of choice. What we choose determines our future. Scripture cautions us to be prepared as the time is near but unknown.

For the sake of the illustration let’s assume that every person is dressed in flight suit and parachute and is packed into the belly of a huge plane that continues to gain more and more altitude. Each one of us will approach the open door that leads from the safety of the life we know to one we don’t. That door is the symbol of Rapture.

You will go out the open door of that plane. If you refuse to jump you will find yourself out the door anyway without knowing what happened. You can’t go back and you can’t stand still. You will go out into the unknown one way or another.

The difference between life and death from the fall is whether or not your parachute opens in mid air.

Your Lifeline to Eternity with Christ

Next to the doorway that separates this world from the next is a line of cords, one cord for each person on the plane. Every worthy instructor you’ve ever had told you about that cord. This is your lifeline and now you can actually reach out and touch it.

Both teachers and your instruction manual tell you that this cord will open your chute at the exact time needed to make the journey safely.  All you need to do is take it in your hand and clip it to a ripcord ring on your parachute.  There are two rings on your parachute… one tiny one for the cord hanging before you and a bigger one that you think might open your parachute if you decide not to tie yourself to this airplane.

You have the parachute. You have the cord. You know how it works. You know you’re going out the door. You know the choice is yours – are you willing to make the irrevocable decision to snap that cord to your parachute or not?

Hanging in the balance…

Once you make a hard connection from parachute to cord – what if it doesn’t open your chute? What if that cord prevents you from falling to a place where you can safely open you chute? What if doesn’t open your chute but chains you to the plane instead, banging and pitching your body against the fuselage? Is the cord really safe or would it be better to grab the larger ripcord  ring and control your own destiny?

The question before you is one of faith. Do you have more faith in Jesus Christ and the Word of God or in you own ability and wisdom? Will you snap the cord to your chute and jump or just wing it on your own? Making the wrong choice leads to death; the right choice leads to life.

God provided the plane, the parachute, and the cord. The finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross makes us able to freely snap the cord to our parachute. That message has never wavered. You will arrive at that moment and face a leap into the unknown.

God’s Truth or the Lie of False Teachers

God made every provision for your journey home to occupy that mansion. That is true. But there are false teachers who tell you that God will never let you out that door into space without being properly hooked up. That is a lie.

The cord is within your reach. Your hand is the only hand that can snap it to your parachute.

Will you be Raptured? The choice is simple and it is entirely yours. Who will you trust with the ripcord on your Rapture parachute?

This is an illustration, not an exhaustive message of either Rapture or salvation. But the truth remains… God will make you ABLE no matter what – but He will never make you WILLING. The choice is yours.

Zero-Based Christianity

Much, or most, of what you think you know to be true may be inaccurate, incomplete, or just plain false. When it comes to faith there is only one reliable source, the Word of God interpreted to each child of the King by the Holy Spirit.  There is no second way.

In the End Time there is as much error in the message of those who preach Christ as in the words of those who do not. One of the greatest benefits to the work of the Enemy against the family of Christ in 2012 is our lack of self knowledge, discernment, and the elevation of opinion into truth.

Examples of False “Truths”

• The genius intellects of the ancient world thought the seat of the soul was physically centered in the heart. Not true.
• Scientists were positive the earth was flat. Not true.
• Santa Claus does not exist, yet most American kids are sure he is real because society and their parents told them so. Then the kids find out it was a lie.
• When asked “Where did I come from?” my husband’s parents and grandparents answered, “We found you under the front porch.”

You can probably think of better illustrations that these, but the point is that what were once considered to be the “gospel truth” have largely been disproved.

Zero-Based Christianity and Eternal Destination

What you believe is a matter of eternal destination because what you have faith in will determine if you will rise to meet Christ or spend eternity apart from God.

Throughout our lives we learn by experience that things we previously accepted as true were not. Society and the world have accepted some pretty weird things that later generations discovered to be false.

Everyone is searching for more faith as the reality of the End Time begins to sink in. The beginning of increasing your faith in what you believe is to know why you believe it.

Bible Study Exercise

Make a list of the top 10 things you believe then look for supporting evidence in the Bible. When you read God’s Word, don’t interpret it by anything you’ve heard before. Ask the Spirit to reveal the truth of God’s Word to you. Once you’ve finished your first list of 10 things, make another list.

Every time you either make or hear a declarative statement about truth, verify it with scripture. It is surprising how often what we think is in the Bible really isn’t.

God told us this would happen.

Don’t fall into error by railing over the fact that goats are goats and not sheep. (My apologies to goats.) The division between those who are called to Christ and those who are not will widen each passing day. The Bible is prophecy, promise, and commentary. Every prophecy will come true, every promise will be kept, and the commentary on the past, present, and future of mankind is perfect.

Rejoice in your clear vision rather than lament the blindness of the worldly.
