Our Story
Welcome to Amazing Grays Ministry!
Lynn and Larry Baber
Amazing Grays Ministry is a 501.c.3 non-profit Christian lay ministry dedicated to sharing God’s message of Grace and Victory through Jesus Christ to all the family of God, in particular those in the equine community, as inspired by the Holy Spirit, through written, spoken, and broadcast word, music and images.
The story of the ministry began in early 2009 when Lynn received the assignment of writing what became the book, Amazing Grays, Amazing Grace. Once the book was scheduled for production with the publisher a new challenge was presented: take the message of grace and victory in Jesus Christ to fellow Christians. The ministry makes good use of Lynn’s amazing grays, Bo and Swizzle, to illustrate what a right relationship with Jesus Christ might look like.
“Not having a clue how to begin a ministry, Larry and I just started putting one foot in front of the other and watched closely for any door or window to open. Then I had an urge to call Barbara Schoeneberger who had been my business partner more than twenty years ago. I found Barb’s number, we spoke for the first time in more than twenty years and the rest is history. Barb is a director of the ministry and her husband, Roger Prai, a wonderful resource for inspiration and support.”

The main purpose of our ministry is to serve as fertilizer to the family of Jesus Christ. When we succeed the ‘crop’ is improved and becomes stronger. When we fail well, like fertilizer, we just stink. Every opportunity to share our message is greatly appreciated. If we can do a program for you please Contact Us!
As of May 2010 Amazing Grays Ministry became a 501.c.3 tax exempt corporation. While we try to ask for nothing more than the opportunity to share our message, contributions are accepted and are tax-deductible. The ministry is supported by donations and the sale of books and materials at events, online, and in retail stores.
